Why is it that every time I get caught up on Bleach, the most current chapter ends ridiculously?

Last time - Rukia DIES RIDICULOUSLY
This time - Ichigo DIES RIDICULOUSLY

Though we know neither are really dead because no one ever dies in Bleach (nevermind that half the main characters are already dead)

As it is, this is kind of getting old. A summary of Bleach since the arrival of the Arrancar: The arrancar are strong! Everyone else sucks!

Of course this could just be all an illusion created by Aizen's freaking all-powerful zanpakutou.

Come on, Kubotite, mix it up a little!

GOOD IDEA: Yay late forties McCall's issues!
BAD IDEA: Trying to fix the shelves where the fashion books are, AGAIN.

GOOD IDEA: Eating food!
BAD IDEA: Eating carrots with ranch dressing in the library. Not that anything bad has happened, it just seems like I should be counting down or something. Or wearing a bib.

GOOD IDEA: Getting stuff together for presenting tomorrow in Lit (also, I dunno, reading the poem?)
BAD IDEA: Making stupid LJ posts instead.

QUESTIONABLE IDEA: Playing with silly story idea generators!
BAD IDEA: Actually starting writing a story from one of the prompts (I would reproduce it here but Quince ate it. It took place in a time warp, the main characters were a "disloyal performance artist" and a necromancer who is on the bad side of the gods, and their relationship is potentially doomed by a shopping trip. If you want to hear more about the sad amount of planning I've put into this already you can hit me up on AIM, for serious.)


I am not one to make fun of the overweight or anything, but I keep having to fight the urge to see if this certain girl is still sitting where I saw her, if only because I cannot imagine her ever actually getting out of the chair once she got into it.

Now all I have to do is get caught up on D.Gray-man!

I think I will do that instead of working on my Lit shit!

Today I went and bought too much manga. I went to Borders with the sole goal of acquiring the first Kino no Tabi novel and perhaps Scrapped Princess, and instead I ended up buying Shinshi Doumei Cross (I actually think "The Gentlemen's Alliance" sounds cool but I can't get used to calling it that), Emma 2, and Bleach 12-13 and 15-16 because they didn't have what I was looking for in the first place. And then I realized I didn't get 14 and went to Barnes & Noble to get that. Whoops.
I did order the novels, though.

While I was waiting at the customer service desk to for someone to order the novels for me, some guy saw my pile of manga and asked me if I was a fan of action manga, to which I replied I liked a lot of different stuff. He then asked me if I'd read Sensual Phrase. Um. Dudes are not supposed to be reading Sensual Phrase, MUCH LESS asking random girls if they have read it. That has to be some bizarro form of sexual harassment (Sensual Phrase = soft core porn for girls... basically a smutty romance novel with pictures).

So I have spent much of today re-reading Bleach. I am now on the part that made me hate Ishida. I am sure I will come to hate him once more. And of course re-reading Bleach made me want to get caught up on Bleach so I am doing that as well... and laughing hard and continuously at Kaien's silly dress. I mean, the fact that he's here and is trying to kill Rukia for whatever reason is probably supposed to shock me, but I can't see past that ridiculous outfit he's in. Apparently becoming an Arrancar damages your fashion sense irreparably. So let's get this straight:
Arrancar = shouldn't be allowed to dress themselves
Vizard = fruity?

I shudder to think what the Arrancar would look like if they didn't all wear white.

I almost want to say Kaien's silly dress suits his personality, but then I look at it and just start giggling again.

I am sitting down now to compose a serious post with content! A boring assessment of the past week! Stuff no one wants to read anyway!

Since I've said plenty about CoM (today I'm in Atlantica... Meaning "HI WE'RE WALKING AROUND UNDERWATER! and also Ariel's whole "You didn't see me! No, really!" was hilarious) and the post I made with the random panels is about as much as I could ever say about the KHII manga, we'll move on to me finally piecing together what I can remember about the Bleach and Trinity Blood dubs.

Trinity Blood: Generic! :D This show had better get hella better fast or I'm not even going to bother with it...

Bleach: I was surprised at this! For one, they apparently made a big effort towards getting the actors to pronounce the Japanese correctly. They're also keeping most of the Japanese terms (and not explaining them, so I feel sorry for any newbies to the show... ¬_¬). Kidou, zanpakutou, konso(u? I can't remember)... They have changed "shinigami" to "Soul Reaper" but that doesn't really bother me one way or another.
I'm already a big fan of Rukia's voice. Even though English doesn't have the same nuances of speech that Japanese does, she does a good job sounding different than "normal" (whoever wrote the dialogue did a good job, too). Isshin's voice is great. Ichigo's will take some getting used to just 'cause Morita is the perfect Ichigo. XD; But no real complaints about it. The only voice in ep 1 that I wasn't fond of was Yuzu's... We could do with less annoying and more cute from her.
If I can figure out whether or not ep 2 is actually on this week, I'll judge further based on how Orihime sounds the more minor characters sound (always a pet peeve of mine... even in most good dubs, minor characters just have shitty voices.. often very obviously main character actors trying to sound different or the same person playing every minor character.. ¬_¬;;) but for now I'm giving a thumbs up.


Gah, I already don't feel like talking about anything else. This is really weird for me, as I'm sure you've noticed... Usually I'm fine with going on and on about every minor thing I did everyday! Sorry to disappoint!

I'm goin' off to (finally) look at the lecture things for Greek and Roman Myths of Heroes, so I leave you with ( a really scary picture. )
