★Li: ah, and I got the audiobook of the Over rock under sea or however it went book
★Li: because I want to reread those XD
emu: Over Sea, Under Stone. XDD
emu: Over Rock, Under Sea. XDD That's hilarious.
emu: Where the hell would that be?
★Li: no idea
★Li: in Hell
★Li: or on the Titanic
emu: I'll have to ask the Gaylord.
★Li: go for it
emu: When I can walk again.
emu: Too many stairs.
emu: There's no elevator to the Gaylord's realm.
★Li: and you'd have to fetch that copy of hte swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated
emu: Oh, I keep a copy around.
★Li: how handy
emu: Well, yeah.
emu: You wouldn't believe the uses it has.
emu: Though it's getting kind of beat up.

(The Gaylord in question is one of the top suppliers for library, uh, supplies, btw. And Ali, apparently there are Gaylord Brothers! I guess there must be a monastery somewhere down there too!)
(Though, come to think of it, after they lose that other scroll near the end of the book I guess it really is over rock and under sea...)

Actual conversation; also the truth!

rrrrr
11:25:57 AM emukatze: Someday I want to live in a house that was built in the sixties, and has really thin dingy-colored carpet and incredibly bright wallpaper!
11:26:10 AM ninnikuchan: Why?
11:26:15 AM emukatze: Why not?
11:26:26 AM ninnikuchan: True.
11:26:29 AM emukatze: I have a sentimental love of really thin carpet.
11:26:35 AM emukatze: I don't like plush carpets.
11:27:01 AM emukatze: When I lived in Pennsylvania we had a different kind of carpet in every room! It was awesome.
11:27:14 AM emukatze: The carpet in the family room was dark blue with weird geometric shapes all over it.
11:27:32 AM ninnikuchan: o-0 Freaky.
11:27:43 AM emukatze: In the bathroom, there was purple carpet. Bright purple! With random pink spots in some places.
11:27:49 AM emukatze: In the living room the carpet was boring.
11:28:01 AM emukatze: I don't remember what the carpet was like in Mom and Dad's room.
11:28:26 AM emukatze: In my room it was red, hideous, and stringy, and mysteriously didn't quite reach any of the walls.
11:28:33 AM ninnikuchan: That all sounds terribly strange.
11:28:51 AM emukatze: I also had flowery wallpaper that really did not match the hideous carpet.
11:29:33 AM emukatze: There was no carpet in the boys' room (our house only had three bedrooms), but there was at one end of the room. I think it was blue. We used it as a wrestling mat, mostly.
11:29:41 AM emukatze: I miss my old house. :(
11:31:20 AM emukatze: I can't remember what the carpet was like in the den, either, though it might have had the same carpet as the living room...
11:32:19 AM emukatze: That house really was awesome. Whoever decorated it before us must've been seriously ADD.
11:32:31 AM ninnikuchan: XD Probably.
11:32:48 AM emukatze: And then Mom and Dad had three kids so they saw no point in redecorating. We'd just have destroyed everything.
11:32:56 AM ninnikuchan: Very, very true.
11:33:06 AM emukatze: Though they did knock out a wall to make the dining room and kitchen one big room.
11:37:22 AM emukatze: After I move out, my goal really is to never move into a new building again. I will live in old apartments and old houses. Ones that creak at night and have their own characteristic scents. Ones with fading wallpaper and fading paint and floors with tracks worn into them from the countless number of people who have walked across them!!!
11:37:40 AM emukatze: That way my home will complement my vintage wedding dresses.
11:38:01 AM ninnikuchan: For that, you should really get a neglected old Victorian.
11:38:08 AM emukatze: XD
11:38:12 AM emukatze: That would be awesome.
11:38:45 AM emukatze: I would hang a disco ball in the basement and have parties every Thursday night at ten o'clock.

Phil apparently did shopping yesterday in place of mother and bought THE WRONG COOKIES. They lack the gigantic chocolate chunks that I have come to enjoy. My grand plan to have cookies for lunch has been foiled, so instead I will have a banana and maybe some watermelon.
